Got forks?!

I got this really cute red, wooden basket at Tai Pan to place on top of my cupboards and originally I wanted a cute plate to put in it, but I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I decided to create something instead. So here is what I came up with

And the best part is that I didn't have to buy anything for this project! I just happened to have the frames from an earlier project, the ribbon and paper were from my scrapbooking stash and the fork and spoon where from an old set of silverwear that I had intended to donate to Goodwill. So there you have it. Being crafty doesn't have to cost a lot of money. I love it!

*The cute red plate and the wicker star came from DI! I got a few other things while thrifting in Utah that I will post later on.

You are SO talented! Good job! I was showing the Nelson clan your blog today...Annie and I were thinking about your pumpkin project. I think I am going to get the carvable pumpkins from Walmart and make large candle holders for my porch...We'll see how it goes!

I just love all of your original crafts. They are so unusual and a great use of things we all have around the house . . . and they are inexpensive as well. You just have to think outside of the box! (inside joke!) Great job! Makes me want to go to DI again! It was a fun day! This is so cute!

You are so creative! What a cute fork and spoon idea. And the metal chair (with the plant in it) turned out good too:) What would be some cute ideas for my playroom walls? I've seen people actually frame game boards and put them up, cute huh? Give me a cute idea! Simone

I wish I had some of your talent for doing crafts. Everything you have posted is very cute. Maybe when you come for Thanksgiving you can teach me?!
