JOY!!!

We were truly blessed when a wonderful family in our ward gave us their piano that they no longer wanted. It has been such a joy having this instrument in our home. I have wanted a piano for years and years, and now that we have one, we are using it and enjoying it. I have started giving the boys piano lessons. Here is Austin practicing his first song.

JOY!!!

That was so cute, Austin! We just loved your song. You are really doing great. Keep practicing and send us another video! Your piano is beautiful. We are so happy for you and the family. That was so generous of your friends to give you a piano, we know how much you have wanted to have one in your home!

Yay! Congratulations. Nothing better than a missionary who plays the piano! Do you have a piano teacher yet? Let me know what methods they recommend. I prefer Alfred or Bastien with my young beginners. Make sure your teacher teaches rhythm and counting out loud. I find it detrimental to pianists who can't count the rhythm correctly. They become adults who fudge their way through hymns that the congregation can't sing along to. Heh.
