The countdown begins....

Lilypie Expecting a baby Ticker

So I am officially 2 weeks away from my due date and this is where it gets hard for me. I start to worry about how this is all going to play out. I worry about my boys and what I will do with them when I go into labor and while I am in the hospital (even though I have wonderful people lined up to help us out), I worry about how everyone will adjust to life with this new little person (although I am sure that it will work out just fine...right Austin?!), I worry (or am more annoyed rather) that my maternity clothes are getting tighter and tighter and soon I will have to work to lose all this baby weight, and overall, I am just ready to move on to the next stage...life with a newborn. Did I mention that I am starting to have crazy dreams about going into labor? It makes for a very restless nights sleep! I still have a few things to do to prepare, one major thing being that I need to pack my bag for the hospital. I will do that today! I decided that 9 months is a really long time and I am ready to wrap this up (goodbye heartburn). Thank goodness I am not an elephant as their gestation period is 22 months, however, at the moment I am feeling slightly larger than one. I think that I need an afternoon of crafts, so my plan (after packing my bag of course) is to start sewing my diaper bag (hopefully tomorrow). The race is on...we'll see which comes first the baby or the diaper bag. Here's hoping the baby wins!

Finding a little time ...

to craft or sew isn't easy these days. We have been so busy getting things ready for the rapidly approaching due date of baby boy #4 (who is still currently nameless). With just one day shy of 3 weeks to go, there is still more to do, but I needed to take a break from de-cluttering, organizing, laundry and overall nesting to work on a little project and Mother's Day was just the excuse that I needed. So here is my latest creation that I sewed for my Mom for Mother's Day. Hopefully she has received it by now so I don't ruin her surprise (yes, I just sent it off and yes, I know it's late, someday I will get my act together, hopefully).

I used these instructions here, and even though it took a little more than an hour for me to complete it,(3 boys + 2 friends from school = an apron in a couple of hours!) I love how it turned out and I may need to make another one for myself.

So here it is: (*I am way to pregnant to model this little beauty and go figure, but I couldnt get any boy in this house to help me out, so a dining table chair did the trick.)

Now if I can just find some time to work on my diaper bag, and my car seat canopy, I will be doing good!

Happy Mother's Day Mom!

It's Saturday....

What could be better than watching Saturday morning cartoons with your brothers?!

Perhaps the donuts they had for breakfast!

We love Saturdays!

Feeling loved...

and a little spoiled too.

My boys were good to me on Mother's day!

Nothing beats a handmade gift from your children! Thanks boys!

Brett and I thought this comic was pretty funny from yesterdays paper!

3 boys camping....

+ one toddler finally sleeping = one tired but happy, relaxed Mom.

While Brett and 2 of the boys were off on a father/son campout doing this:

I had a date with this: (which didn't start until 10:00pm when a certain, very active, very awake 2 year old finally drifted off to sleep)

And I must say that I had a great time until the power went out at 12:00am and scared the living daylights out me...it's times like that when I realize what an active imagination I have or maybe it's from watching too much CSI!

Oh and Cameron found this:

He told me that it was too bad that he didn't take his bug house with him on the campout, or he would have brought him home to keep as his pet....Darn!

Quote of the day...

I receive the Family LDS Gems in my e-mail each day and I love this quote by President Thomas S. Monson.

Women Have a Great Influence for Good

"Too frequently, women underestimate their influence for good. Well could you follow the formula given by the Lord: 'Establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God' (D&C 88:119).

"In such a house will be found happy, smiling children who have been taught, by precept and example, the truth. In a Latter-day Saint home, children are not simply tolerated, but welcomed; not commanded, but encouraged; not driven, but guided; not neglected, but loved."

Don't we all want that?!

The whole talk is really great too. Take some time out today to read it here

Family Guy - Lois Mom Mum Mommy

I am not a huge fan of this show (sorry Kev), but I thought this was funny and that all Mom's could relate. So here is a little laugh for today.
